Jack Macrae nominates St Kilda

Western Bulldogs star Jack Macrae has officially nominated St Kilda as his preferred destination for the 2025 season. After spending much of 2024 in a diminished role at the Bulldogs, including being used as a substitute in the finals, Macrae has sought a fresh start elsewhere. Despite having three years left on his contract, the 30-year-old midfielder feels that St Kilda offers the opportunity to regain regular playing time and contribute at a high level.
St Kilda, eager to bolster their midfield, is now working on negotiating a fair trade. Speculation suggests they could offer a second-round pick (Pick 43), which is considered reasonable for the veteran midfielder. The move is expected to benefit both parties, with the Saints gaining an experienced leader, and Macrae getting the chance to revive his career.
This deal could significantly strengthen St Kilda’s midfield as they look to push for a stronger performance in 2025. Other clubs, such as Geelong and Melbourne, were also rumored to have interest, but St Kilda has emerged as Macrae’s clear choice.
