Welcome to the Hub chat. Keep it about the footy, pick a player to talk about him, and we'll be in here every day through the trade period and the draft.

We are in need of a full forward. I have watched Max Ramsden from Hawthorn & would consider him a great pick up. He is 23, 203 cm & a free agent- worth a punt.

      Would be interesting

  • Guy Shiffman Member 3 weeks

I know it just happened but would we be interested in Bailey Banfield????

  • Donna Coelho Member 3 weeks

LobbNot my first choice BUT if we don’t get an option in FA, Trade or draft could be a possibility for depth.

    S. MarshallThat’s a hell yes from me!

And now he's officially requested a trade to the club! How good

  • Mike Hamilton Member 3 weeks

My #1 wish is for a key forward that has a 70%+ accuracy level. Basically, its not possible to be a contender without at least 2 dominant key forwards. Freemantle had 3, and still lost.
Maybe Max King can be 1, maybe Sharman can be another, maybe Owens, or Tauru could be #3. If its not these guys, we need to find one like Shannon Neale (not that he would leave Geelong) or similar. Our mid's have to have someone they can kick to, we can get the ball into the forward 50, but there has to be a viable target! We haven't had a great forward target, since Gehrig, or maybe Jason Heatley.

    • Mike Hamilton Member 3 weeks

I should have said Gehrig, Riewoltd, Koschitzke, they were all great!

    • Donna Coelho Member 3 weeks

Agree. Key back is also required. And they MUST be tall. We consistently lose to taller sides. We need height, depth & an injury free year to build.

  • Callum Hill Member 3 weeks

We need multiple key forwards. You have to plan like Max King will never play again, cut the losses move on.

Mitch Owens needs to move back to the midfield / Swiss army knife. I think he could be like Mark Blicavs for Geelong, where ever you need him to go he can, but not stuck on an island 100% of the time at full forward.

    • Mike Hamilton Member 3 weeks

I am prepared to support Max for 1 more year. He has been consistently loyal to the Saints, and yes he has been paid well. If he can't get his body up to the level to consistently play AFL, either Max, or the club needs to pull the pin. I don't think he can make it, but I would love to proved wrong!

  • Heath McDonald Member 3 weeks

I think we really need to go after a key back that can take the oppositions number 1 foward and let Wilkie and sos take the second and third tall and a key foward to support king Sharman and Owens and also more midfield depth go saints 🔴⚪️⚫️

    • Callum Hill Member 3 weeks

Don't know why we stopped playing Tauru, is he big enough to be the key back?
